The Caring Friends Endowment
For over 30 years, Grace Village Retirement Community has offered a variety of living
options, but has built its fine reputation on compassionate Christian care. Most
retirement communities offer similar amenities, but the level and quality of care
make the difference. You will find that our community is unique!
As you might guess, the future of a Christian Community such as Grace Village doesn't
just happen and cannot be taken for granted.
The first Caring Friends Endowment has been established at Grace Village. As the endowment
grows, the earned income from the endowment will provide an ongoing source of assistance to
help with the cost of care for residents whose resources are depleted. Residents who never
thought that they would outlive their income are facing difficult challenges. At the same time,
they are needing more and more health care services. Our residents come from a
variety of work backgrounds including: farmers, missionaries, pastors and spouses, and teachers.
All are terrific residents who have "served others"
for many years. Now it is our pleasure to serve them.

Charitable Gifting Opportunities at Grace Village
The wonderful thing is you don't have to know a resident at Grace Village to give a
gift. But we can assure you that your action today will make a difference for a
deserving person who calls Grace Village home.
- Memorial or Honorarium Gifts: A gift in remembrance or in honor of a person
who has meant so much to you. A designated gift honoring or in remembrance to establish
a program or purchase an item, for example, a bird aviary or large print Bibles. We
welcome your inquiries.
- Renovations: Your gift could help brighten our residents hallways with soothing
paintings and prints. User friendly exercize equipment would help our residents stay
fit and independent longer. There are many possibilities.
- Grace Village Charitable Gift Annuity: A Charitable Gift Annuity can provide
you with a guaranteed income for life, and fulfill your charitable gift desire for
Grace Village.
Types of Gifts
- Cash: Gifts of cash can be put to immediate use either as a
designated or unrestricted contribution.
- Securities: Stocks and bonds are welcomed gifts. A charitable deduction
may be allowed for a gift of an appreciated investment at the full market value of
the gift, not at original cost.
- Real and Personal Property: Real estate can be donated as a gift with
tax deductions determined by fair market value. Offers of real and personal property
must be considered and approved by the Grace Village Board of Directors prior to
acceptance.
- In-Kind Gifts: Companies may wish to donate products they manufacture.
Equipment and furnishings are welcomed gifts. Your excess inventory could be a
blessing!
- Planned Gifts: Trusts, annuities, etc., enable contributors to donate
assets while retaining income from these assets for their lifetime. Advantages
include immediate charitable income tax deductions and significant estate and capital
gains tax savings. Planned gifts can also be made through bequests and life insurance
policies.
